Business email on your own domain, set up so it lands

An email address at your own domain looks like a real business and stays in your hands rather than a free provider’s. We set up business email through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, configure the SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records that keep your messages out of spam folders, and keep the technical side off your plate. We’re a small studio in north Norfolk, a short drive from Norwich, setting up business email for companies there and across the UK. Platform fees plus a one-off setup fee, both set out before you commit.

What we mean by it

A free email address quietly undersells the business.

Plenty of small businesses run on a free Gmail or Hotmail address for years. It works, but it costs something less obvious than money.

An email address at your own domain (you@yourbusiness.co.uk rather than yourbusiness@gmail.com) does a few things a free address can't:

  • It looks like a real business.

Customers, suppliers, and partners notice, even if only quietly.

  • It keeps the address yours.

A free provider can change its terms, lock an account, or disappear. A domain you own is an address you control.

  • It's consistent with your website.

The same domain on the site, the email, and the business cards. One identity, not a borrowed one.

  • It can grow with you.

Adding an address for a new starter, or info@ and accounts@ as the business grows, is simple when the email is on your own domain.

The service

Through the tools you already know.

For most businesses, the sensible home for email is one of the two platforms they very likely already use somewhere: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. We set your email up on whichever fits.

Google Workspace

If your business already lives in Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive, Workspace is the natural choice. We configure email for your domain through Workspace, so you get the familiar Gmail experience with your own professional address behind it.

Microsoft 365

If you're an Outlook business, or you already use Microsoft 365 for Word, Excel, and Teams, we set your email up through 365. Same idea: the Outlook tools you know, with your domain on the address.

Deliverability

The difference between sent and delivered.

There's a quiet technical side to business email that most people never see, until their messages start going to spam.

Modern email systems check that a message came from where it claims to. If a domain's sending records aren't set up correctly, perfectly legitimate emails (an invoice, a quote, a reply to a customer) can land in spam or be rejected outright. It's one of those problems that's invisible until it's costing you work.

When we set up email, we configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC: the three records that let receiving systems verify a message really came from your domain. Unglamorous work, and the difference between email that’s sent and email that’s read.

Coming soon

A standalone option, in the works.

Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 suit most businesses well, but not every business wants a full productivity suite just to run its email.

For that reason we're preparing a standalone Business Class email service, offered through our partner network: a full email service with webmail, calendars, and shared contacts, without the wider Workspace or 365 toolset, billed simply with no minimum commitment. It's a good fit for a business that wants professional domain email and nothing more.

This option isn't formally launched yet. If a simpler standalone email service is what you're after, mention it when you get in touch and we’ll tell you where it’s up to and what we can do in the meantime.

Pricing

Depends on the platform, and explained up front.

Email pricing has two parts, and we're clear about both before anything is set up.

The first is the platform's own subscription. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 each charge a monthly fee per user, set by Google or Microsoft and paid to them. Those rates are theirs to set, so the current figure is something we'll confirm with you rather than print on a page that would date.

The second is the setup itself: configuring the platform, pointing the domain, and getting the deliverability records right. We'll quote that clearly, as part of a wider project or on its own, before any work begins.

For many clients, email setup is a small piece of a larger website or hosting conversation rather than a separate thing to arrange. If you just have an email question, ask. The first conversation is always free.

Want business email that lands?

The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Whether you need email set up for a new domain, an existing setup straightened out, or an answer about the options, get in touch and we’ll talk it through.
