Managed WordPress hosting, with someone keeping an eye on it

If your site runs on WordPress, someone has to apply the updates, watch the monitoring, and check the backups. Managed WordPress hosting is hosting with that looking-after included: fast UK servers, daily backups with 30 days of restore points, SSL, and security monitoring, with the WordPress and plugin updates handled by us. We’re a small studio in north Norfolk, a short drive from Norwich, hosting WordPress sites for businesses there and across the UK. Plans start at £8 a month; the tiers are below.

What we mean by it

The managed part is the part that matters.

Plenty of companies will sell you WordPress hosting: server space, a control panel, and from there you're on your own. That's unmanaged hosting, and it's only cheap until something goes wrong.

Managed hosting is the opposite arrangement. The hosting is still there, fast and secure, but the ongoing work of keeping a WordPress site healthy is handled for you.

WordPress is brilliant, but it isn't fit-and-forget. It has moving parts that need attention. Managed hosting is who pays that attention. With BrainWeb, it's us.

  • WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates kept current, so the site stays secure and nothing breaks between versions

  • Security monitoring running constantly, with us watching, not just an automated alert nobody reads

  • Daily backups taken automatically, with 30 days of restore points, so a bad day stays recoverable

  • Performance kept up through LiteSpeed caching and server configuration tuned for WordPress

  • Someone to call who knows your site, when something needs doing

The plans

Two plans most clients choose between, three more for when you grow.

Hosting plans scale with the resources your site needs. Most clients are comfortably served by one of the first two. The discovery conversation, or a quick chat about your traffic, settles which is right.

Standard Hosting

The everyday choice. A full managed setup with daily backups, SSL, security monitoring, and LiteSpeed page caching. Comfortable for small to mid-sized business sites, brochure sites, and content sites with light to moderate traffic.

Performance Hosting

For sites that need real speed and headroom. Dedicated CPU and RAM, plus Redis and Memcached caching layers, so the site stays quick under load. The right choice for busier sites, booking systems, integrations, and sites that have outgrown Standard.

In every plan

The things every WordPress site should have anyway.

Every plan, from Standard up, includes all of the following. No upsells on the essentials.

  • UK-based servers, for fast response times to UK visitors and data that stays in the UK

  • Free SSL certificate for every domain you host

  • Daily backups with 30 days of restore points

  • LiteSpeed page caching for fast page loads

  • Multiple firewalls and active malware detection

  • Application security patching so vulnerabilities are fixed before exploitation

  • WordPress core and plugin updates applied and monitored

  • Full account isolation so other sites on the platform cannot affect yours

  • 24/7 monitoring with us watching, not just an automated system

  • Privacy-first analytics on Umami, included with every plan; no cookies, no consent banner

  • Direct access to the maker when you need help, by email or phone

The landscape has changed

Why managed hosting matters more in 2026.

WordPress runs a huge share of the web, which makes it the largest single target for automated attacks, and the AI tools that arrived through 2025 and 2026 have collapsed the time between a weakness being found and being exploited. The full story is on the Host overview, and it’s worth the two minutes.

The practical conclusion hasn’t changed: a WordPress site that’s updated, monitored, and backed up stays safe, and one left to drift on unmanaged hosting carries a risk it didn’t carry two years ago. Updates, monitoring, and backups are what every plan above exists to provide.

Migration

Moving to BrainWeb is straightforward.

If your WordPress site is hosted elsewhere and you'd like better hosting for it, we handle the move. A full backup before anything changes, the site set up and tested on our infrastructure, then the DNS switch timed to keep visitor disruption to a minimum.

Migration is included free with a new annual hosting contract, or quoted as a one-off (typically £50 to £150) if you'd rather take hosting monthly.

  • Full backup of your existing site before anything changes

  • Site set up and tested on BrainWeb infrastructure

  • DNS switch timed to keep visitor disruption to a minimum

  • Old hosting cancellation if you'd like us to

  • Free with an annual contract, or a one-off from £50

Where the edges are

What managed hosting does and doesn't cover.

Managed hosting covers keeping your site online, fast, updated, monitored, and backed up. It's worth being clear about where its edges are.

Not unlimited development time.

New pages, design changes, and new features are project or hourly work, not hosting. Hosting keeps the site you have running well; it doesn't quietly rebuild it.

Not a fix for a compromised site.

If a site arrives already hacked, cleaning it up is a Website Security Rescue job first. Once it's clean, managed hosting is what keeps it that way.

Not a long contract.

Hosting runs monthly or annually, and your site is always yours. If you ever want to leave, we hand over the files and the database and help with the move.
